Confidence is often misunderstood. We imagine when someone walks into a room without hesitation, speaks without stumbling & never seems to question their own worth. But confidence doesn't always looks like that.
Sometimes it's getting out of bed on a day when you don't feel particularly good about yourself. It's speaking up even when your voice trembles, wearing something you love without wondering what everyone else will think or just trying out something new despite the possibility of failing in it.
There will always be someone who's prettier ,smarter, more successful or further ahead in life. If we keep measuring ourselves against everyone around us, we'll never feel like we're enough. There's always another person to compare ourselves with, another milestone to reach.
Confidence begins when we stop treating our lives like a competition with others when we never agreed upon to participate in this competition to begin with.
