I like the dark.
It makes me feel secure
like a chick feels
in the homely nest
woven by
its momma bird
because of the
unagitated aura around.
The dead air
of the night
makes me feel lively
like the leaves
of the oak tree
planted long back
by a sage
in the desolate plot
half-visible
from my verandah
flutter with joy
in the month of May.
