where no moon dared to linger
and even the stars seemed shy of us
your nearness became a tantalizing chaos
yet your breath, the only noise i wished to hear
and somewhere between your touch and my bodily surrender
the night forgot how to end
and you left your warmth upon my skin
and became my moonless night

अंधेरी रात की वो सन्नाटा जो
मेरे अंतर्मन को सकून देता है
आसमानों में चांद और तारों की
रोशनी सच में कमाल करता है
मुझे अकेले में बैठकर इन्हें देखना अच्छा लगता हैं।
मैं अपने विचारों और स्वप्नों के
अंतहीन भंवर में खो जाने के
लिए उस समय सोचती हूं

चांद और आसमां को देखते हुए—
कम से कम अब तक मुझे
अंधेरी रात के अस्तित्व का
एहसास तो हुआ है ।
अगर आप अपने अभी तक
अंधेरे की सुंदरता नहीं देख पाए तो
जीवन का सार भी नहीं समझ पायेगे?!
