Somewhere, We Still Exist
Somewhere, in a forgotten year,
we're still laughing without fear.
Your hand is reaching out for mine,
and nothing's ending—not even time.
Here, we've grown into strangers' names,
with different skies and different rains.
But sometimes, when the world is still,
I meet you in a memory I can't kill.
And I wonder if, somewhere, too,
a little part of me lives on in you.
Not enough to bring us back again,
just enough to make the past remain.
Because perhaps the hardest part of goodbye
isn't learning to live apart—
it's knowing someone can leave your life
and never quite leave your heart.
